Company: Hi-end general contracting company that employs approximately 10 full-time craftsmen/carpenters.
Location: Chestnut Hill, MA
Schedule: Part-time 25-30 hours per week. On-site, but flexible for when hours occur during the day
Salary/Rate: $25 -$30/hr.
Support company owner with the bookkeeping and administrative tasks in the office. Company is seeking a versatile, highly organized professional who will take charge and ownership of several functions in the office with an emphasis on bookkeeping. Bookkeeping responsibilities will include: conduct the data entry for outsourced Quickbooks processing, oversee payroll processing. and monitor internal and external communications to manage A/P relationships. Administrative tasks include the management of their social media accounts and other projects.
Conduct the data entry for outsourced QuickBooks processing and ensure accuracy of daily data transfers to outsourced accounting provider
Process A/P: invoices, purchase orders and expenses
Process checks, ACHs, and wires to pay vendors invoices and employee expenses
Provide timely and effective customer service with regard to all external vendors, employees, and inter-company vendor issues
oversee administrative payroll/ time card processing (currently using DataPay)
Set up new records for vendors, consultants/contractors and new employees in accounting system as needed
Open and process accounting mail
Filing and administration of accounting records, reports, and other paperwork
Help with planned migration from desktop Quickbooks to Quickbooks On-Line.
Administrative work includes managing social media (Facebook and Instagram); filing permits as well as one-off projects like sending annual Holiday cards
Three years or more experience working as a bookkeeper
Well versed in handling standard A/P concepts, practices and procedures
Skilled Microsoft Office Suite user
Proficient in QuickBooks
Experience with Payroll Systems, a plus
Experience in a design, construction, or architecture company a plus
Possesses strong and effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction when troubleshooting issues and providing answers to A/P questions.
Highly organized a must with great attention to detail
