Belmont World Film's 18th Annual Family Festival, geared to children age 3-12, is going virtual from January 15-24, 2021
Pre-Covid, the festival took place in person in Arlington, Belmont, and Cambridge.
This year, it will run 6 days longer than usual to allow for leisurely viewing and it will be available to all residents in Massachusetts.
While we'd love to be able to show films at our host theaters, it's just not economically feasible, nor would most parents consider it to be safe!
We hope to bring a bit of joy into MLK weekend and beyond, and a chance to experience another part of the world, even if it's only virtual.
There are even workshops on becoming a Junior Film Critic led by Joyce Kulhawik, and the Boston Globe's Ty Burr and Peter Keough, as well as a model making workshop given by the senior model maker at Aardman Animation (the Wallace and Gromit films).
