Time to dust off those sneakers and have some fun! A number of free events are being planned for this week including historic walks, guided bike rides, free Lexpress rides, and more! Celebrate the many alternative transportation resources available in town.

Spend the day enjoying Lexington's beautiful open spaces, and the work of local visual and performing artists. Find your way to the historic Lexington Battle Green, just off the Minuteman Bikeway to get started with an itinerary of all performances and installations!

Find your self an old bike, or some bike parts and get creative! Or, get your current bike and spruce it up with some paint, needlework, or recycled materials. The possibilities are endless for turning bikes into art!

Music from the Movies:

Without the spine-tingling, pulsing bass notes of John Williams’s Jaws theme, those Steven Spielberg beach scenes would have seemed just like any other day at the beach! Featuring some of the greatest music ever written for the big screen, our Music from the Movies concert explores the important role music plays in setting the scene and telling a story via the medium of film.

Hidden Treasures,

A region-wide celebration of the natural, cultural and historic “treasures” located within the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area, Hidden Treasures 2016 features a unique variety of regional treasures to explore during eight days of creative, community organized and presented activities offered free of charge.
