Description

The Town of Watertown, MA seeks a Head Clerk who will perform administrative and customer service duties to assist with the operations of the Town Clerk’s Department. Such duties will include, but not limited to: maintain attendance, process payroll and accounts payable, receive payments and provide receipts, maintain inventory and order supplies, process records, issue and collect fees for a variety of licenses and permits, reconcile daily receipts and make deposits, assist with the annual town census and preparation of the town budget, assist with the elections process, prepare departmental correspondence, maintain and update the department’s website as well as related State web based entries, provide information and assistance to the public. The position is Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week with rotating Tuesday evenings until 7:00 pm.

Compensation

  • Between $ 24.35 and 29.95 per hour.
