No applicants.

SCI is currently seeking volunteers of all ages for our ongoing project Woburn Volunteers for Seniors. This project matches handicapped and isolated seniors with local volunteers, who will assist them with snow shoveling. It's a great chance for students to earn some service hours, especially or for families to volunteer together, especially as there are currently over 50 seniors in our community who are requesting our help this year.

Job Type

  • Yardwork (Exterior)
  • Volunteering

from January 01, 2018 until January 02, 2018

Volunteers will be on call in case of sudden heavy snowfall that, without assistance, can leave many seniors homebound. The opportunity is a season long commitment. Volunteers and seniors will be matched up based off of the proximity of their homes and will eventually take on the responsibility of communicating with seniors themselves when snow hits. It's a great chance to foster and sustain new relationships within the community.
