I am available to give lessons to beginner/intermediate level cello players. I also play piano and feel comfortable teaching beginners.
I am a 20-year-old third year student at the New England Conservatory in Boston, studying in the Contemporary Improvisation department. I have been playing the cello for ten years and the piano for twelve. After studying only classical music since I was 7, I became involved in Celtic music around 12 years old. In 2014 I played with the Young Tradition Vermont Touring Group, touring England and Scotland for a week. During high school I was part of the auditioned MMEA Northeastern District orchestra for three years. I also participated in the Lexington Chamber Music Center, and competed twice in the New Hampshire Highland Games Junior Fiddle Competition (on cello!) where I won third place. Most recently I performed at Boston Symphony Hall as a winner of the 2018 Fidelity Investments Young Artists Competition, alongside my best friend and duo partner Caroline Dressler.
