Sustainability Day, Lexington Farmers' Market, Tuesday July 9, 2:00 - 6:30 pm

Sustainability Day, Lexington Farmers' Market, Tuesday July 9, 2:00 - 6:30 pm

Join the Lexington Farmers’ Market in celebrating healthy and sustainable living and how it applies to what we eat, the environment, and personal well-being. Talk with local organizations, learn what’s being done in the Lexington community, place your personal pledge on our pledge tree, and take away some practical changes that can be applied in everyday life. In honor of Sustainability Day, we will be giving out LFM pins to the first 15 shoppers who donate a resusable bag to our Share a Bag program.

ReVision Energy, a local employee-owned solar company, will be giving away $2 market gift certificates to anyone who signs up for a free site visit. Visit their tent to talk about your clean energy future, learn more ways of switching off of fossil fuels and on to renewable energy, and receive market money for signing up for a free site visit!

This week is also Bike to Market Week!
Ride your bike to the Lexington Farmers’ Market and visit Friends of Lexington Bikeways to receive a $2 coupon – good with any farm or food vendor!

The LFM will be open every Tuesday from 2-6:30 from May 28 to October 29 (closing at 6PM in October) at the corner of Mass Avenue and Fletcher Avenue, the gateway to historic Lexington. The LFM is a producer-only market, ensuring that what you find is fresh and local, sustainably raised and carefully crafted by the farmers and vendors of the LFM. Each week, there will be approximately twenty-four farmers and vendors on-site, including guest vendors, with a total of 35 farmers/vendors participating in the 2019 season; check the website for who will be attending each week. In addition, the LFM features talented artisans, musicians, and local community groups, along with special seasonal events and festivals.

We accept SNAP and WIC/Senior FMNP coupons; the LFM's SNAP program matches up to $15 weekly. Two LFM farmers participate in the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP): Stillman's Farm and Busa Farm.

Free and metered parking is available. The market is adjacent to the Minuteman Bikeway and on MBTA Bus Route 62 and 76, which can be picked up at the Alewife T station.
