Reporting to the Director of Community Programs, the SHINE (Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone) Regional Program Director is responsible for the management, development, operation, and maintenance of the Minuteman Senior Services’ SHINE Program in accordance with the policies and standards required by the Executive Office of EOEA (EOEA). The SHINE Regional Program Director oversees the SHINE Program for both the 16 towns supported by Minuteman Senior Services as well as Cambridge and Somerville. The position requires extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and the various supplemental health insurance options available, the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and problem-solving skills. This includes establishing and maintaining community relationships including Councils on Aging and other elder community resources. The SHINE Regional Program Director supervises staff, volunteer counselors, provides technical assistance, and serves as liaison to host agencies.
