Lexington LifeTimes: A Creative Arts Journal • Call for Authors and Artists

Lexington LifeTimes: A Creative Arts Journal • Call for Authors and Artists

Lexington LifeTimes: A Creative Arts Journal was created thanks to a Bright Ideas grant from the Friends of the Lexington Council on Aging. The first issue debuted in Winter 2018.

The bi-annual publication showcases creative content from Lexington seniors (aged 60+), such as short fiction, essays, poetry, photography, artwork, and cartoons. The publication is overseen by a volunteer editorial board which sets the criteria for submission, and solicits and selects entries for inclusion.

Submission guidelines may be found at:
https://friendsofthecoa.org/#

Our next deadline will be April 3 for the Summer 2020 issue.

The Journal is primarily distributed online as a pdf file. It is formatted so it can be printed at home on standard letter-size paper (8.5” x 11”). A limited number of copies will be printed by the Friends of the Lexington Council on Aging and made available at the Lexington Community Center. The Journal will also circulate as part of Cary Memorial Library’s collection.

We have just published the Winter 2020 issue of Lexington LifeTimes, a creative arts journal. This is our fifth edition and it features the works of 23 Lexington authors and artists.
