Singers, Artists, Parents and Caregivers:
I hope you are doing well and staying safe. During this challenging time, our commitment to fulfill our mission has never been stronger.
Special Needs Arts Programs, Inc., (SNAP) program registration is open. Due to the need to socially distance and limit group size because of COVID-19 as well as the present closure of the Lexington Community Center, SNAP will offer their Sing Along Chorus, Special Artists and Crafts programs virtually over Zoom.
The Fall Special Artists session is full.
Spots are still available in Sing Along Chorus and Crafts.
Sing Along Chorus has a Monday and Wednesday group that rehearses at 7pm starting September 9th. Crafts is a four week program and will begin on November 17th. Art supplies will be mailed and/or delivered to all participants to complete the four projects. Advanced registration is required.
Registration is available for both Sing Along Chorus and Crafts on the SNAP website, www.snaparts.org/programs. You can also register for our winter session of Special Artists.
SNAP is excited to be a part of the “barrier beautification” project in downtown Lexington. The initiative, launched by the ArtWalk Committee will help to beautify the barriers provided to make space for outdoor dining and walking downtown. Please look for the SNAP artwork downtown and use the QR code on the Special Artists banner to give us your feedback on seeing art made by people with disabilities.
Support for SNAP art exhibits was provided by a grant from the Community Endowment of Lexington, an endowed fund of the Foundation for MetroWest. If you would like to support the SNAP Giving Tree with a donation or learn more about our programs, you can also click on the QR codes on the SNAP banners. SNAP is appreciative to the ArtWalk Committee for their leadership and for being included in this “barrier beautification” initiative.
