Lexington, MA—An opportunity to share your artwork! Registration is now open for both "emerging and established" artists are all welcome to participate in the 11th Annual Lexington Open Studios, which will be held the weekend of April 27-28, 2019 from 11am to 5pm. All types of art are welcome in the event. Past artists have included painters, photographers, sculptors, jewelers, woodworkers, fiber artists, printmakers and ceramic artists.
Artists typically display and sell art in their home studios and at the town’s two art centers. Members of LexArt (Lexington Arts and Crafts Society) exhibit their art onsite and artists at the Munroe Center for the Arts also open their studios to the public. Artists will also participate in an exhibit during the month of April at Cary Memorial Library.
Artists do not need to live in Lexington in order to participate. There are a limited number of community spaces available at the Munroe Center for the Arts and some artists could be paired with other artists in their studios. It is also possible to hold a pop-up art show in a friend’s home if an artist is unable to participate in their own space. All studios and pop-up locations, however, must be located in Lexington.
To register for the event, go to www.LexingtonOpenStudios.com.
Early bird registration is $50 and the deadline is January 6, 2019.
Regular registration is $75 and the deadline is January 20, 2019.
