LEXINGTON COUNCIL for the ARTS FUNDING FOR THE ARTS IN LEXINGTON: GRANT WRITING WORKSHOP

Lexington Council for the Arts (LCA) is calling for proposals for funding in the areas of the arts, humanities and interpretive sciences.  
 
Schools, non-profit cultural organizations and individuals are eligible to apply for project support.  
 
This autumn, the Lexington Council for the Arts (LCA) will be awarding monies to individuals schools, and non-profit cultural organizations. Anyone is eligible to apply for project support in the areas of the arts, humanities or interpretive science. Musicians, poets, dancers, historians, scientists and others — do you know about your local arts council?  
 
To help applicants in preparing an effective funding proposal, the Council will hold a grant-writing workshop on September 29 at 7pm, at the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society, 130 Waltham St. This informal session is open to anyone interested in applying for LCA funding.  
 
The Lexington Council for the Arts is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth. The LCC Program is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation, supporting thousands of projects in the arts. The state legislature provides an annual appropriation to the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, which then allocates funds to each community.  
 
Applications for funding is due October 15, 2014.
